Adventures in Medicine

Medical School and Beyond!

on October 28, 2013

Block 2 semester 2 is now history, while these exams seemed hard I feel that I did alright but will find out tomorrow.  This means Saturday is a day of sun and fun at Reggae Beach for sun-fest.  I just hope that the weather holds out as it did not today.  With the completion of my last I returned to my apartment to get ready for some time by the pool only to have it pour a half hour later.  After the past couple of weeks of studying and preparing for the exams I am so ready to throw back and relax and I try to make the most of my time on this island.

With October coming to an end it means Halloween is right around the corner, some of the student I go to school with have been planning their costumes for months, it is surprising to know it is celebrated here on the island.  The past several years I have dressed up in order to work Boonanaza at the Park District.  The best part of Boonanaza is seeing all the kids dressed up in their cute costume.  This year I had to miss this event but received an e-mail last week from my landlord asking for volunteers for a Halloween event.  The complex will provide me with candy and a decoration to put on my door so the children will know I am participating then on Thursday I will pass out the candy just like I would at home!

Block 2 ends but Block 3 begins leaving only 6.5 more weeks until I get my month at home filled with family, friends, celebrations, and baking!
